摘要
As more scientists and engineers adopt computations as a primary tool, they will want more problem-solving assistance from easy-to-use, comprehensive software systems. The cutting edge of advanced computer science will be called upon to build these. A workshop on Scalable Scientific Software Libraries in Indiana discussed the long path to this vision of scientific software's future, and the roadblocks in the way.
