We report on a straightforward synthesis of 2(I-VII),3(I-VII),6(II,III,V,VII)-nonadeca-O-methylcyclomaltoheptaose, a methylated beta-cyclodextrin derivative bearing two 6(I,IV) hydroxyl groups, from its easily available benzylated counterpart. (C) 2003 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
