A New Coordinated Approach to Load Shedding in Integrated Transmission and Distribution Systems

摘要
Bulk power systems are composed of hybrid transmission and distribution networks, while traditionally, transmission and distribution load shedding is studied and developed separately. In order to achieve a global consistent load shedding solution, the transmission and distribution networks are studied simultaneously in this paper. A novel master slave-splitting (MSS) iterative method is developed for calculating large-scale and integrated load shedding (ILS) problem. In the MSS method, with introducing the boundary fictitious values, the ILS problem of large scale is split into a transmission load shedding and many distribution load shedding sub-problems of small scale. Numerical results on a sample transmission and distribution test network show the satisfactory of proposed approach. Copyright (C) 2010 Praise Worthy Prize S.r.l. - All rights reserved
