Fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma is a rare tumor; only 300 cases were reported up until 1990. This tumor differs from classic hepatocellular carcinoma by the younger age, absence of liver cirrhosis, a single tumor and good prognosis. The authors report two uncommon cases of fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma with an older age and a multinodular appearance and a poor prognosis.
