A more versatile route to block copolymers and other polymers of complex architecture by living radical polymerization: The RAFT process

摘要
The reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) process is a new living radical polymerization that offers exceptional versatility in providing polymers of predetermined molecular weight and very narrow polydispersity. To illustrate the versatility of this method, several AB block copolymers are synthesized. The resulting copolymers are structurally characterized by using chromatographic or spectroscopic analysis or both.
