摘要
This study addresses the consequence of the homogenous-heterogeneous reactions on the flow and heat transfer of modified second grade fluid over a non-linearly stretching sheet in the presence of Newtonian heating. The basic boundary layer partial differential equations of flow, heat and concentrations are first converted to ordinary differential (local similarity) equations and then numerically integrated with the help of shooting method along with the Runge-Kutta Fehlberg scheme. The dependence of the pertinent parameters on the temperature and concentration fields is graphically displayed and table is constructed in order to portray the numerical values of the local Nusselt number. It is inferred that the Newtonian heating boost up the temperature rapidly while a decay in the concentration of the reactant at the surface is observed with an increase in the strength of the homogenous-heterogeneous reactions. The validity of the present numerical solutions is ensured by making comparison with the existing literature. (C) 2017 Published by Elsevier B.V.
