Cultural Anxiety Research in English as a Foreign Language Class: an Empirical Study for Chinese EFL Students

摘要
This paper starts with a brief literature review about some theoretical basis and empirical studies concerned with anxiety research in second language acquisition, and it investigates both quantitative and qualitative analysis about some cognitive factors influencing candidates' anxiety in language class based on 110 candidates who are the second year students in a Chinese university. The result indicates that with the premise that the candidates are under exactly same circumstance, anxiety has significant correlations with course type and exam methods.
