Structural differential scanning calorimetric and spectroscopic studies of the new two-dimensional compound (C4H9NH3)(2)SnCl6

摘要
The structure of (C4H9NH3)(2)SnCl6 is orthorhombic, M(m) = 479.68, Pnma, a = 12.242(3)Angstrom, b = 7.329(3)Angstrom, c = 21.527(4)Angstrom, Z = 4, V = 1931.4(11)Angstrom(3), D = 1650 mg/m(3), lambda = 0.71069 Angstrom, T = 293(2) K, R = 0.044 for 1900 reflections with I > 2 sigma(I). The structure is characterized by ionic layers sandwiched between layers of paraffinic chains. A structural phase transition is detected by means of differential scanning calorimetry. The basic thermodynamic data are determined for this transition. The Raman and infrared spectra at room temperature are recorded and some frequencies are assigned.
