Determination of bromfenvinphos in bee products. Part I. Honey and royal jelly

Methods for determination of bromfenvinphos in honey and royal jelly using gas chromatography with electron capture detection were elaborated. The method developed for honey involves ultrasonic extraction with water-acetone mixture and purifying-concentrating of the extract with SPE C-8 cartridge. The method developed for royal jelly involves ultrasonic dispersion in water, denaturation with methanol and purifying-concentrating of the supernatant with SPE C-8 cartridge. The recovery from honey is over 95%, and from royal jelly approximately 92%. The quantitation limit of bromfenvinphos in 2.5 g honey sample is 4 ppb, and in 0.5 g royal jelly sample is 11 ppb. The repeatability and the reproducibility of elaborated methods was discussed.
