AN OUTLINE OF THE BONE INDUSTRIES OF THE PROTOHISTORIC LACUSTRINE SETTLEMENT OF SOVJAN (KORCE BASIN, SOUTH-EASTERN ALBANIA)

Since 2004, technological analysis is applied to the bone tools, ornaments, and weapons From Sovjan, a Middle Bronze Age to Early Iron Age site in southeastern Albania. This material offers rare First hand information on craft production and technological change during this period. To date, three sites in northwestern Greece exhibit the closest parallels with Sovjan. Of these sires, only Sovjan allows us to study change in local production throughout the period front the Middle Bronze Age to the Early Iron Age.
