Fusion and partitioning of data for the detection of concealed weapons

摘要
Infrared (IR) and Millimeter-wave (MMW) sensors have complementary advantages in detecting concealed weapons. One way to take advantage of this fact is to fuse the IR and MMW data, and, to extract the information from the fused data by partitioning the scene into homogeneous regions. In this paper, fusion and partitioning techniques are presented as well as their application to rear data derived from IR and MMW sensors.
