摘要：

For decades Johann Gottfried Herder (1744–1803) was responsible for leading church activities. What was probably his last public speech as General Superintendent in the Duchy of Saxony-Weimar was dedicated to the investiture of Johann Gottlob Marezoll as Superintendent of Jena. The text of the investiture speech is identified, dated and transcribed from the manuscript. The speech opens up touching insights into Herder’s academic and ecclesiastical ideals. © Mohr Siebeck 2022
