摘要
This paper outlines the design and testing of an engineering prototype de-de converter and discusses the practicality of using a soft-switched auxiliary resonant commutated pole (ARCP). From a conceptual design, a 150-kW soft-switched engineering dc-dc converter was assembled and tested. The converter was designed to convert a 550 to 1100-V de input into a regulated and isolated output of 270 V de, at a switching frequency of 20 kHz. 1700-V dc IGBT's were used as the main switches, and high-frequency switching was achieved using pulsewidth modulation (PWM). Using test data, this paper shows the ARCP is not practical for input voltages greater than 800 V dc.
