摘要
Semi-analytical method for the solution of eddy current testing problem where an air-core cylindrical coil is located above a two-layer metal plate is presented in this work. The upper layer of the plate (metal coating) contains a surface flaw in the form of a circular cylinder coaxial with the coil. The solution is found by the method of truncated eigenfunction expansions. The change in impedance of the coil is calculated for different values of the parameters of the problem. The proposed mathematical model can be applied for the solution of the corresponding inverse problem in order to estimate the parameters of the flaw. Such a model can be used to analyze the effect of corrosion in metal plates.
