摘要
A systematic lowering in mass of strangeness ambiguous pK(S)(O) peaks relative S to the nK(+) is noted. We discuss how measurement of gammap --> Theta(+)K(S)(O) --> pK(S)(O)K(S)(O) --> ppi(+) pi(-) pi(+) pi(-) in association with gammap --> Theta(+)K(S)(O) --> nK(+)K(S)(O) can help to clarify the nature of the narrow baryon state claimed in pK(S)(O) invariant mass distributions. This can both establish the Theta(+) in a single experiment and also reveal, or place severe limits on, the existence of an associated Sigma(5) pentaquark.
