摘要
We have studied the resonant energy transfer in the system of semiconductor nanocrystals embedded in a conjugated polymer matrix. For the examination of the electronic energy transfer from a polymer to a quantum dot, Forster energy transfer-mechanism through resonant dipole-dipole interaction is employed. In the calculation, the energy transfer rate to a PbS nanocrystal of IV-VI type semiconductor from a PPV-type polymer is specifically obtained. Our investigation shows that the selection rule for optical transition of a nanocrystal is broken when the dipole-dipole interaction is applied to the transition of a nanocrystal quantum dot. The orientational effect of the polymer on the energy transfer is also considered. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
