摘要
Organochlorine pesticide residues were studied in food products (local and imported) of animal origin in Jordan. Results of milk products showed one sample contaminated with residues less than maximum residue limit (MRL). Also results of eggs showed one sample contains less than MRL, while four samples exceeded MRL. Results of meat and poultry showed that 11 samples were contaminated but less than MRL and one sample contained more than MRL. Contaminated sample contained beta-HCH, heptachlor, cis-heptachlorepoxide, dieldrin, Aldrin, beta-endosulfane, p,p '-DDE, p,p '-DDT, o,p '-DDT, and p,p '-DDD. It is recommended in Jordan to continue monitoring pesticide residues in animal products and other environmental components.
