摘要：
This article discusses the management of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) fistulae using various shunt systems. It presents an overview of CSF physiology and an historical overview of CSF drainage and shunting. External lumbar drainage and lumboperitoneal and ventriculoperitoneal shunts are described. The potential complications associated with each shunt system are discussed.
