摘要：

Reliability and power quality are more important today than they ever been for electricity and electric appliances' providers. and electricity consumers. At the same time, electric power industry around the world copes with reorganization, cost cutting, competition, and changes in regulatory structure. Also in Poland it is observed. This paper presents the main problems of reliability and power quality assessment and improvement facing Polish electric power sector in that "new" era. Polish electric power system was shortly described and tasks of power quality and reliability assessment and improvement were listed.
