Glass-Free Low-Temperature Co-Fired Ceramics Microwave Ceramic AW1-xTexO4 (A=Ca, Sr, Zn)

AW1-xTexO4 (A=Ca, Sr, Zn) ceramics with compositions of x=0.05, 0.1, 0.15, 0.2 have been successfully designed as promising dielectric materials for low-temperature co-fired ceramics applications. All samples could be densified by sintering at 850 degrees C/2 h. The crystal structure and microstructure of the compounds were investigated by X-ray powder diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. The microwave dielectric properties of the ceramics were studied with a network analyzer at the frequency of about 10 GHz. The doping of Te decreased the sintering temperature without affecting the microwave dielectric properties greatly when x<0.2. High Qxf value of >40,000 GHz was maintained for CaW1-xTexO4 ceramics sintered at 850900 inverted perpendicular C for 2 h. CaW0.9Te0.1O4 and SrW0.9Te0.1O4 could be co-fired with Ag at 850 degrees C/2 h in an ambient atmosphere.
