Impact of economic, social and environmental efficiency of sustainable development in the Czech Republic

The paper deals with the analysis of impacts of integration of environmental, economic and social indicators in relation to economic crisis and its current recession. The concept of "sustainable development" has now become part of our everyday life. Professionals are concerned with this issue, among others, at the time when a change in people's thinking as well as behaviour is more than needed, including the period of crisis. 'Sustainable development' can be defined as a better quality of life for everyone today as well as for generations to come. It is a vision of progress integrating the individual economic, environmental and social pillars into a whole. The main areas of attention of the Strategic Framework for Sustainable Development in the Czech Republic involve society, people and health, economy and innovation, area development, landscape, ecosystems and biodiversity, stable and safe society. The aim of the paper is to analyse indicators of sustainable development in the Czech Republic during the period of economic crisis and recession and assessment of their effects on the sustainable development indicators in connection with macroeconomic environment in the Czech Republic. Within the discussion is PESTLE analysis. The evaluation of sustainable development whose goal is such development that will ensure the balance between the three basic pillars: social, economic and environmental, can be visualized through a PESTLE analysis of macroenvironment.
