摘要
The oxidation of benzoin to benzil in acetic acid using air as oxidant over transition metals (Co, Fe, Ce, and Cr) doped MCM-41 was studied for the first time. An excellent conversion rate (similar to 100%) of benzoin and high selectivity (similar to 80%) of benzil was also obtained when Co/MCM-41 was used. Fast hot catalyst filtration experiment proved that Co/MCM-41 acted as a heterogeneous catalyst and it can be reused a number of times without losing its activity to a greater extent.
