摘要
This article examines the loansgranted to Mexicobythe Eximbank between 1935 and 1942, and weights their repercussion on Mexican economy in the light of their impact on trade between Mexico and the United States, their relevance regarding other sources of funding available to Mexico for foreign trade, and the relation of Eximbank loans to development projects of the administrations of Lázaro Cardenas and Manuel Ávila Camacho. I sustain that these loans were part of a successful U.S. government policy to promote their exports as well as the construction of important infrastructure for economic modernization in Mexico. The study reviews six of the nine contracts known and signed in the period.
