摘要
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to see of the back massage EPRO (Effleurage Pressure Rotation) method on blood pressure in hypertension patients. Method: This is a quantitative quazi experiment design study using a pre and post test design without control design to provide Back Massage EPRO Method for respondents who use mild hypertension, then used T-test analyze to see the combination of back massage EPRO method to the risk of hypertension and then described according to the results obtained. Results: There was a significant difference in systolic blood pressure after back massage with a p value < 0.05 (p = 0.014), the average difference in post and pre intervention was -1.20, while the average systolic blood pressure before intervention was 125.2 and after the intervention was 124.0. There is also a significant difference in diastolic blood pressure after back massage with a p value < 0.05 (p = 0.00), the average difference in post and pre-intervention was -6.60. The average diastolic blood pressure before intervention was 91.0 and after the intervention was 84.4. Conclusion: Back Massage EPRO method is very influential on reducing blood pressure in both systole and diastole. (C) 2020 Elsevier Espana, S.L.U. All rights reserved.
