摘要
The introduction of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) materials for fresh and industrial consumption requires evaluation of their adaptation to the conditions of the different potato producing areas in the country. The evaluation of commercial and industrial quality parameters of tubers of 11 promissory potato clones: 392636-9, 392639-17, 393194-1, 393160-3, 363258-16, 39325844, 392634-5, 393180-10, 392639-1, 392639-41 and 393258-49 is evaluated, in comparison to the 'Andinita' variety. The study was carried out at two locations, "Marajabu" and "Cabimbu", Trujillo state, Venezuela. A randomized block design with four replications was used for the experiment in field. Variables evaluated included: eyes depth, tuber shape, skin texture and color, flesh color, tuber size, polar and equatorial diameters, specific gravity, dry matter content, pH, degrees Brix, acidity, reducing sugar and starch content. Evaluated clones showed semi deep or very superficial eyes, tuber shape varied among oval, oval round, oval extended and round; skin texture in almost all clones was smooth and skin colour yellowish; flesh color varied between yellow and white yellow. With respect to chemical characteristics, variability was observed between clones and the commercial check. The results suggest that clones 393194-1, 393180-10 and 392636-9 may be useful for the industry, while the rest of the clones may be appropriate for fresh consumption.
