摘要
This study intended to investigate the pathogenicity of the entomopathogenic fungi; Metarhizium anisopliae (Met.) and Beauveria bassiana (Bals.) to the peach fruit fly, Bactrocera zonata (Saunders) and the Mediterranean fruit fly, Ceratitis capitata (Wiedemann) adults under laboratory conditions. Mortality percentages were concentration dependent. LC50 and LC90 values reflected privilege of M anisopliae over B. bassiana in infection and mortality of adult flies. Also, C. capitata adult flies were more susceptible to infection by both tested fungi than B. zonata. LT(50)and LT(90)values showed that M. anisopliae was faster than B. bassiana in its infection and killing to the adult flies.
