摘要
The paper aims to present types and sources of knowledge as well as knowledge creation in the context of new product development (NPD). Three main perspectives of knowledge needed for NPD have been distinguished: customer/market knowledge, technological knowledge, and organisational knowledge. The presented model of knowledge creation is addressed for meeting the original targets of quality and technical performance of NPD. The illustrative example concerns knowledge acquisition from enterprise databases that derive from enterprise resource planning system and customer relationship management system.
