摘要：

The aim in this paper is to explore recent trends in the globalization of research and development (R&D) utilizing the data from the latest surveys on the relevant subjects. In the paper, to begin with, essential motivations for the globalization of R&D, support policies for international R&D and costs and benefits for different sides will be commented upon. Then, the methods used in measuring globalization of R&D will be explained and the data will be shared with the reader. Based on this analysis we will develop policy suggestions for the developing countries to take an active role in this global trend.
