摘要
Two experiments were undertaken in order to establish a methodology for isolating and characterizing yeasts isolated from the ruminal ecosystem. The first included the isolation and conservation of these microbial groups from the ruminal liquor of animals fed biofermented feed. The second encompassed the characterization of strains isolated according to schemes in the literature. For such characterization, a new method was introduced to determine the assimilation of sugars. The classification of clusters was used to group the yeast strains according to the similarities found in the biochemical tests. With the methodology proposed. 24 yeast strains were isolated and characterized. They were able to resist the stress conditions in the rumen. Currently, a group of strains is available due to its survival in the rumen and it may be used to obtain products that activate the fermentation in this organ.
