High-quality and low-delay image transmission system with fast JPEG 2000 codec and efficient network protocol

摘要
A prototype of image transmission system which can be used for the wireless PC monitor has been developed. The high memory consumption and the high computation complexity are got rid of by optimizing the image quality control and adopting the efficient network protocol. Experimental results show that the system maintains high image quality comparable to the JPEG 2000 conventional method and eliminates the delay in comparison to MPEG-2.
