摘要：
We survey optical solutions to the communications bottleneck which is becoming a growing problem in high-performance electronic systems as on-chip clock speeds increase, A variety of optical interconnects will be presented including highly parallel (512 channel) free-space optical systems and flexible fiber image guide and fiber array links.
