摘要
Alloy carbide precipitation during tempering at 200 degrees C in a 2.25Cr-Mo steel was investigated using transmission electron microscope. The high magnetic field promoted the precipitation of M23C6 alloy carbides, and also increased the concentration of Fe atoms in the carbides. Calculated results indicated that the magnetic moment of alloy carbides increases with increasing Fe atom content, which is consistent with the experimental results. The magnetic Gibbs free energy is reduced by increasing the Fe atom content in the M23C6 alloy carbide. (C) 2012 Acta Materialia Inc. Published by Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
