THE TRANSFORMATION OF SECURITY IN COLOMBIA AFTER THE AGREEMENT WITH THE FARC-EP

With the end of the armed conflict with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia - People's Army (FARC-EP), the Colombian State is undergoing a transformation in the configuration of its security. This work tries to show how, without the main guerrilla on the public agenda, the circumstances associated with insecurity have changed. During its term, the FARC-EP concentrated the security threshold in Colombia. However, after signing the Peace Agreement in November 2016, other risks affect, influence and transform the scope and sense of security. Thus, national security was defined for six decades around an enemy identified as the FARC-EP, but once this disappeared, security is limited to other variables such as the proliferation of violence, new threats, and changes in the pillars that support the public agenda.
