摘要
Sixty skinks from Africa representing 8 species of the genus Trachylepis (Trachylepis acutilahris, Trachylepis affinis, Trachylepis binotata, Trachylepis brevicollis, Trachylepis maculilabris, Trachylepis planifrons, Trachylepis sulcata, Trachylepis varia) were examined for helminths. Adults of I species of Digenea (Mesocoelium monas), 1 species of Cestoda (Oochoristica truncata), and 6 species of Nematoda (Abbreviata paradoxa, Orneoascaris chrysanthemoides, Parapharyngodon rotundatus, Physalopteroides asymmetrica, Spauligation timbavatiensis, Thubunaea fitzsimansi) were found. Larvae of a species of Abbreviata were also found. Thubunaea fitzsimonsi in T. sulcata had the highest prevalence (83%); S. timbavatiensis in T. sulcata had the greatest mean intensity (9.0 +/- 8.9). Thirteen new host records are reported. Species of Trachylepis are infected with generalist helminths that infect a variety of African lizards.
