A pseudo-compressibility method for reactive flows at zero Mach number

The pseudo-compressibility method is extended to the case of turbulent reactive flows at zero Mach number. The resulting scheme is applied to the calculation of two different reactive flows i) a 1-D planar turbulent flame ii) an axisymmetrical turbulent flame stabilized in a stagnation point flow. The results confirm the extreme sensitivity of the rate of convergence to the value of the pseudo-compressibility factor. They show in particular that the criterion used in the inert case to determine the optimal value of this factor is still valid if the reference velocity is chosen in the burnt products.
