Study of photon structure functions at L3

摘要
The leptonic and hadronic photon structure functions are studied in the reaction e(+)e(-) --> e(+)e(-)X, X = mu(+)mu(-) or hadrons at LEP with the L3 detector. The data are collected from 1991 to 1995 at a centre-of-mass energy root s similar or equal to 91 GeV. Three leptonic structure functions F-2(,QED)gamma, F-A(gamma) and F-B(gamma), related to different helicity states of the virtual photons, are measured for 1.4 GeV2 less than or equal to Q(2) less than or equal to 7.6 GeV2. The hadronic structure function F-2(,QCD)gamma is measured in two different Q(2) intervals from 1.2 GeV2 to 9.0 GeV2. The Q(2) evolution of F-2(,QCD)gamma is also studied.
