摘要
The contribution of the magnetoelastic energy to the energy being reversibly released by a magnet is estimated under the conditions of adiabatically switching on the magnetic field. To minimize the admixture effect, the Tb 0.3Dy 0.7Co 2 compound was synthesized with the use of metals preliminarily subjected to deep purification. Upon performing the complex attestation of the specimens, their magnetic, magnetostrictive, and thermomagnetic properties were investigated. Under the variation of the external magnetic field from 0 to 1.8 T, the magnetocaloric effect at a point of the magnetic phase transition attained 2.3 K. Good consistency between the theoretical and experimental results is observed in the paramagnetic region.
