Incidence of multiple sclerosis in the Varazdin County

摘要：
The incidence of multiple sclerosis was assessed for the first time in the County of Varazdin, for the 1960-1997 period. The study yielded an annual incidence of 0.795/10(5) inhabitants. The disease showed no time aggregates; it was present throughout the study period, with a female predominance, i.e. 2.4 female sex index. The onset of the disease declined by the end of the third and beginning of the fourth decade of life.
