摘要:
Development of widespread refueling infrastructure using local refueling systems with small, efficient on-site liquefiers is essential for widespread use of natural gas (NG) as a vehicular fuel. The price of liquid natural gas (LNG) or compressed natural gas (CNG) to fleet owners/operators or individuals depends on the capital and operating costs of the refueling stations. The core element of these refueling stations is an inexpensive and efficient small-scale liquefier capable of producing similar to 6500 liters of LNG/day. This paper compares. several liquefaction methods and discusses the best choices of liquefier technology for fleet-size LNG/CNG refueling systems.
