摘要
The results of a geochemical analysis of obsidian artifacts from the archaeological sites Los Cipreses and Lariviere rock-shelter, located in the area of Traful lake, southern Neuquen, Argentina are presented. Obsidian was utilized in this area continuously over the last 3.500 years by groups of hunter-gatherers. Until now, the number and location of the sources where this obsidian was obtained was unknown. The results obtained in this study indicate the use of two specific types of obsidian without interruption and constrain probable regional range of movement and interchange of this raw material.
