摘要
Interactions of alpha- and hydroxypropyl-alpha-cyclodextrins with nicotinic acid in aqueous solutions at 298.15 K and various pH values were studied by solution calorimetry and H-1 NMR spectroscopy. It was found that nicotinic acid in the cationic form does not form complex compounds with the cyclodextrins, but, in the zwitterionic form, it interacts with the cyclohexamy loses to yield host-guest complexes stabilized due to an enthalpy gain. The influence of the guest and host structures on the stability of the complexes was analyzed using the calculated thermodynamic characteristics of formation of these species. Based on H-1 NMR data, the stoichiometric compositions of the complexes were determined, and the mechanism of their formation was proposed.
