摘要
The importance recognized to the relationships that link gastronomy and culture has conferred to foodstuffs the status of tangible elements of local cultural heritage. As such, they offer new possibilities for the diversification of tourist destinations. The aim of this paper is to define the profile of the current gastronomic tourist, highlighting the connections between the gastronomic and cultural motivation. The results of an empirical study conducted in the city of Caceres show positive correlations between gastronomy and culture.
