摘要
A Taylor-Series expansion method is proposed in this paper for the accurate and efficient calculation of the earth return impedance in buried cables. To reach this solution, it is used the Wedepohl and Wilcox's transformation for reducing the complexity of Pollaczek's integral. To validate the accuracy of the obtained results, a comparison has been made with the numerical integration method 'Gauss/Lobatto' for a broad range of applications. Finally, the criterion of percent relative error is used with contour maps to analyze the convergence and stability for the proposed series expansion method.
