摘要
A series of unconfined compression tests and heavy metal leaching tests were carried out in order to examine the appropriate amount of cement addition for 2 different coal fly ash samples. It was observed that: (1) The unconfined compression strength satisfied the stress criterion if the cement content was 7% or less, and from the point of view of the strength, application as embankment material is possible. (2) In the case of the simple coal ash which was cured for 7 days the leaching of heavy metals was over the environmental standard value. The leaching decreased when it was compacted at optimum water content. From this, it was concluded that the fly ash contributed a hardening reaction product controlling the leaching of heavy metals. (3) For Fly Ashes A and B used in this study, the leaching of all heavy metals is suppressed over a cement content of 5%.
