摘要
Pragmatism and rationalism, as two important schools of thought in the west, are very important to the development of higher education. The higher education in our country, due to the late development, has the dual influence of pragmatism and rationalism in the development of concept, but eventually pragmatism philosophy prevails in the development of higher education in our country. Seeking the organic fusion of practicality and rationality is the future development trend of higher education and the traditional Chinese Confucian thought of "the doctrine of the mean" is in favor of "neutralism". Therefore, the higher education of our country can attempt to develop an impartial "balance" between the practicality and rationality in the development of concept.
