摘要
This paper presents the method of reducing motion artifact (MA) from photoplethysmography (PPG) measured from ears. It is a challenging problem to accurately calculate pulse rate and peak to peak interval (PPI) from MA-contaminated PPG. We propose a two-stage MA reduction filter for removing MA in PPG. Two-stage MA reduction filter is consisted of weighted band-pass (WBP) filter and adaptive filter. WBP filter is used to suppress MA in PPG. Then, the output signal of WBP filter is enhanced by adaptive filter. The MA reduction performance of the proposed method was evaluated in the computer simulation. The simulation results showed that the proposed method could suppress MA in PPG.
