A technique for transcatheter "reconstruction" of a completely occluded left pulmonary artery using radiofrequency perforation with subsequent balloon dilation and stent implantation is reported in a 7-year-old child. It is shown that transcatheter radiofrequency perforation can still be effective years after the occlusion of a vessel. Cathet Cardiovasc Intervent 2001;53:81-84. (C) 2001 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
