摘要
A large volume of mined ore materials are processed annually to obtain the various types of minerals that are essential to industrial processes. The tailings dam is usually constructed to store these wastes. A characteristic common to most tailings dam failures is that the mine tailings tend to liquefy and flow over substantial distances, with potential for extensive damage to property and life. In recent years, they have attracted more and more attention from the scientific and profession a communities and concern from the public awareness due to the increasing frequency with which they occur and the death tolls they claim. In order to be able to assess the potential for damage in case of such failure, it is necessary to be able to analyze the energy disspation mechanism of debris flow surging from tailings dam collapse. But research on energy theory during debris flow movement in China is still weaker. In this paper, a laboratory physical model test has been performed. The movement process of tailings slurry surging from Yangtianqing tailings dam has been physically simulated in the laboratory. Based on the energy theory, the distribution of tailings slurry energy in the course of flowing in model flume was obtained. And the energy disspation mechanism of tailings slurry in bend flume was analyzed. The model test results show that the energy disspation in bend flume is bigger than that in straight flume. According to the research, the disasters prevention and reduction plan of tailings dam breaking was proposed. The results have very important significance and scientific support to research and prevent the disaster of tailings dam-break, and which have any new exploration for the prevention in tailings slurry hazard.
