摘要
This paper selected a 3D body scanning technology and reverse engineering techniques in order to extract individual torso surface which can further be applied in tight clothing design, fashion design and automatic development of three-dimensional patterns as well as 3D-printing of clothing. In this paper, point cloud data was obtained by scanning a human body, using to the resulting point cloud to plot a reference curve for different parts of the surface feature based on specific classifications, and further consturuction of digital body surface with different methods in order to derive an ideal tight clothing design. The resulting surface can be applied to creation of tight clothing prototypes, 3D priting or used as basis for reconstructing contour of an object.
