摘要
Magnetic Activity is traditionally considered to be restricted to late-type stars with outer convective envelopes. In these stars dynamo action is thought to lead to magnetic field generation and subsequent activity phenomena. We present a number of enigmatic X-ray observations of early-type stars with strong magnetic fields and X-ray detections. While traditionally low-mass companions are held responsible for the observed X-ray emissions, we argue that a more plausible explanation for the observed emission properties is an association with the early-type non-convective star.
